Because NewsFutures must record a lot of information about you in order to operate the Game, we feel it is important to be transparent about what information we may record and how we may or may not use it.
- NewsFutures registration's procedure requires personal information, including your current, street address in order to identify you uniquely and to send you prizes when you win them. That primarily helps us deter and contain some forms of cheating. EXCEPT AS MAY BE REQUIRED TO GET A VENDOR TO SHIP YOU A PRIZE, WE WILL NEVER DISCLOSE YOUR PHYSICAL ADDRESS TO ANY THIRD PARTY, NOR USE IT TO SEND YOU JUNK MAIL.
- NO SPAM: We will not use the e-mail address you have provided to us, nor will share it with third parties to e-mail promotional offers directly to you unless you have specifically informed us that you would like to receive promotional offers from NewsFutures.com and/or from selected third parties. If you choose to receive these promotional offers, then your information may be used for direct mail or e-mail marketing.
- Other personal information like your age, zip code, and country, may be used to establish gross statistical demographic profiles of our players as a whole. That helps us know our audience better and serve it better.
- You may review at your convenience the personal information you have provided NewsFutures by clicking on the "My Profile" option in your account.
- NewsFutures records in its databases your portfolio and the set of outcomes that you have invested in. This is, of course, necessary to operate the game, but we may also use and share that information in order to better target ads at specific types of players. For example, those interested in Basketball. But for that purpose, the information will be used anonymously, disconnected from your name. WE WILL NEVER SHARE NOMINAL INORMATION ABOUT YOUR PORTFOLIO WITH ANYBODY.

For example, you can review the products offered by the vendors included in our Winners' Store and auctions. Some parts of the game (e.g., the sports section) may also be co-branded by partner sites.
